Enemies Need Prayer – Prayer Points October 2019

Pray for Enemies of Jewish People

“Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us,” said Golda Meir, former Prime Minister. Enemies of the Jewish people lurk on every continent. In South America, over 200,000 Jewish citizens reside in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. In the region where these countries meet, Hezbollah is increasing its presence. Hezbollah’s goal is Israel’s destruction, eradication of Jewish people, to establish a global caliphate.

“Why does the wicked despise God and say in his heart, ‘It won’t be held against me’? Adonai, you have heard what the humble want; you encourage them and listen to them, to give justice to the fatherless and oppressed,

so that no one on earth will strike terror again.”  Psalms 10:13, 17-18 CJB

PRAYER:  We understand man’s heart is wicked and not just one people group is evil. We pray you will contend with Israel’s enemies. Thank you for revealing truth so terrorist will no longer envy wicked men, nor desire their company, nor speak lies. Thank you, Abba, for changed hearts and lives.

Prayer for Israel’s Government

The outcome from the September election did not produce a forerunner for Prime Minister and forming a coalition government seems out of the question. A discussion of a unity government with two leaders switching off the position of Prime Minister is not acceptable at this time. The political situation in Israel is complicated. Increasing threats along the Gaza border add heaviness to the unsubstantiated leadership.

“As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. So is my word that goes out from my mouth —it will not return to me unfulfilled; but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do.”  Isaiah 55:9, 11 CJB

PRAYER:  Adonai, You are not surprised by this complicated election. We petition You for peace and protection over Israel while the leaders trudge through the miry clay to form a coalition government.  You can place the government leaders’ feet on the solid rock of Yeshua. We will believe these leaders will place their trust in You and desire to do Your will. Please give them wisdom, understanding and knowledge. We trust You to bring about something good, bringing honor to Your name. You are faithful to Your people and land.

Prayer for Yom Kippur/ Day of Atonement

This is the holiest day of the year (Wednesday, October 9, 2019). This is a yearly declaration of repentance and petition for Adonai’s forgiveness of sins to seal their verdict for a year of life, health and happiness.

“For on this day, atonement will be made for you to purify you; you will be clean before Adonai from all your sins.” Leviticus 16:30 CJB

PRAYER: Thank you Adonai for forgiving our sins completely through the sacrifice of your son Yeshua. We pray for more Jewish people to come to know you personally when again this year they seek your forgiveness and favor for the upcoming year 5780.
