Dear Friends of the Friedman family and Jacob’s Hope,
Grace and shalom in the wonderful name of our Messiah Y’shua.
The month of May was spent on the road in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia. I attended the Assemblies of God district council in Pennsylvania to present the ministry of Jacob’s Hope. It was encouraging to meet so many Pastors who are interested in blessing the Jewish people.
The early Summer I scheduled some time at home to catch up on a few things. Things like my family, the house and the office. When you are on the road so much there are many things that get neglected. This turned out to be God’s timing as Vixie’s dad had a stroke and she spent two weeks in Alabama. Dad is doing better, but still needs prayer.
In August I will be heading to Israel to receive the first container of goods being delivered to bless the poor and needy in the land. We believe this will be the first of many. If you would like to help in this effort, just note “containers for Israel”.
In September I will be in Ethiopia teaching in the Bible College and working with the Jewish believers. We will also continue working on projects to help the larger Jewish community. Our medical trip is scheduled for the end of January 2011. There is still time to get involved with this first Assembly of God health care team going to a Jewish community.
In October I will be in Germany and Ukraine working with our friends in believing Jewish communities. Our goal is to help them better reach their Jewish communities. We accomplish this with training, equipping, and finding ways to improve the lives of the whole Jewish community.
In November I will be in the States, but “on the road again”. I have a number of services scheduled in our home district in Pennsylvania. All funds that we raise go directly to projects in Jewish communities around the world.
Our centers in Israel continue to bless hundreds of needy Jewish people every month. Our team in Israel continues to search out locations for our next center, as funding allows. Our ultimate goal is 30 centers around the country with a major, multipurpose, distribution site located in the center of the country. The logistics of running a nonprofit organization in Israel are complicated; pray that our team can work through the bureaucracy quickly and efficiently.
Our newest team members, Jeff and Tammy Coose, have almost finished raising their support. Our hope is that both Jeff Coose and I will be on hand in Israel in August. Jeff Coose is also planning to be in Ukraine in November for a major meeting of the Messianic leadership in Kiev. This should give him a great opportunity to develop relationships and talk about future projects for the very large and very needy Jewish community of Ukraine.
On the home front, Matt & Sara are expecting in December! Vixie and Jeff are going to be grandparents! Jesse continues his studies at Temple University. Bethany is in her first professional show! Our little girl is a real dancer! Adam is continuing in auto tech school and should graduate in January. Elisa had her dance recital and she was exceptional. Jed had his tonsils out so it has been very quiet around here. His football season starts in August. Vixie has been busy with her dad in Alabama, working, and taking care of us. I don’t know how she does it.
Everything we are able to accomplish is because of your faithfulness and we bless you for it!
For Jacob’s children,
The Friedmans,
Jeff, Vixie, Matt, Sara, Jesse, Bethany, Adam, Elisa and Jed
