Neighbors need Prayer – January 2026 Prayer Points

Neighbors need prayer –

Praying for Israel’s Neighbors –

Regional threats and all-out cries of “total war” keep Israel on high alert and her neighbors residing with hatred and suspicion. Inhabitants on six continents grieve over terrorist attacks, and the Jewish people are asking, “Am I safe where I am?” It does no good to hate the perpetrators or appease them. Not all, but many Middle East neighbors live in spiritual darkness without the Savior’s light. The Israeli believers, Messianic, Arab and gentiles, also need prayer to overcome the darkness. For these neighbors to come together will be dangerous, but important for advancing the Kingdom. As watchmen on the wall, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and to this end, we pray for neighbors inside Israel and surrounding the nation.

“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.”

 1 John 2:9 NLT

PRAY FOR:

  • God’s supernatural power to be released uniting the hearts of Messianic, Arab and gentile believers
  • Dreams and visions of the Savior among Israel’s neighbors resulting in salvations and transformation

The Israeli Government and Military Service

One issue destroying trust in the Israeli government is its failure to finalize a military draft bill. Essentially the bill would exempt most eligible ultra-Orthodox young men from military service. This does not address Israel’s security needs, which increased over the last two years with a multi-front war, the massive manpower shortfall, or the obligation to equalize the burden. Multiple thousands of families are making extraordinary sacrifices. As the draft issue is in the forefront of national debate, threats and street demonstrations by the ultra-Orthodox are increasingly disruptive and sometimes violent.

“Do you intend to stay here while your brothers go across and do all the fighting?” Moses asked the men of Gad and Reuben. Why do you want to discourage the rest of the people of Israel from going across to the land the Lord has given them?”  Numbers 32:6, 7

PRAY FOR:

  • The Lord’s wisdom for Israeli leaders as He once gave to Moses
  • Israeli leaders to finalize legislation regarding ultra-Orthodox military service that addresses national security, manpower needs, and equal obligation
