Coalition Government Dec. 2022 Prayer Points
Pray for the Israeli Coalition Government!
The recent Israeli election results indicate almost a 50/50 split between extreme political positions. Netanyahu has the mandate to form a coalition government and then become Israel’s next Prime Minister. The election process and government formation is complex. It is a challenge to Netanyahu to build a coalition and then lead a government split in half by ideologies and demands. In addition, international bodies loudly criticize and attempt to direct the activities of this nation and the people chosen to lead.
“Let God arise! Let His enemies be scattered! Let those who hate Him flee before Him.” (Ps. 68:2 TLV)
“We may think we are doing the right thing, but the Lord always knows what is in our hearts. Doing what is right and fair pleases the Lord more than an offering.” (Proverbs 21:2,3)
PRAY FOR:
- Netanyahu to have supernatural favor and negotiating strategies for forming and maintaining a coalition that serves God’s purposes
- The new government leaders to understand the time, have fear of the Lord, and know what Israel ought to do
- The new Interior Minister and the new Minister of Aliyah and Absorption to keep the gates of Israel open for all Jewish people, including Messianic
- Protection over all IDF soldiers so no enemy will attack during this time of transition
- The new Israeli leaders and Netanyahu not to be influenced by the world’s criticism of Israelis’ leadership choices
Prayer for the Holidays
December 19-26 the global Jewish community will celebrate the Festival of Dedication, also known as Festival of Lights or Hanukkah. The same God who worked miracles and supplied what the Maccabees needed to accomplish their mission is the same God who works miracles today.
“Once again Jesus spoke to the people. This time he said, ‘I am the light for the world! Follow me, and you won’t be walking in the dark. You will have the light that gives life.’” John 8:12 CEV
PRAY FOR:
- Opportunities for believers to share the Light that gives life to those in darkness
- Jewish people who dare read the New Testament Gospels to have understanding
- Jewish people seeking their Messiah will find Him
Prayer needs for Jacob’s Hope
- For our various ministerial partnerships serving those relocating to Israel or remaining in Eastern Europe. Pray that the leaders will have Godly wisdom to best meet needs, financial resources, and protection as they move within different cultural communities to meet needs and share the Gospel.
- During Hanukkah our partners’ outreaches through Ukrainian and Israeli Messianic congregations see fruit produced.
- The Hope Center in Israel will fulfill the Lord’s purposes, blessing the Jewish and Messianic communities, and be a tangible example of God’s love for His people.
- Spirit empowerment for Jewish evangelism
- Travel mercies and protection over our missionaries
