Strength – WOW – July 2024 – Prayer For Strength

Prayer for Strength

Strength – In Israel around one in three people are suffering from some degree of post-traumatic stress. Many have lost loved ones through military service and suicide. Others have seen and experienced terrible things. There is an overwhelming sense of anxiousness throughout the country. Their future is unstable as the current war drags on and is escalating to multiple fronts. But it is “God who arms (us) with strength and keeps (our) way secure”. Psalm 18:32

 Pray for Jacob’s Hope

The increasing evil affects us who intercede for the broken world. After all, “if one part suffers, every part suffers with it.” 1 Corinthians 12:16a We intercessors also experience personal struggles, illness, loss of loved ones, financial and family problems. How do we continue praying for the considerable needs of others in Israel, Ukraine, Russia, Ethiopia, and the multitude of other concerns? The answer is found in Jude 20, 21a: Beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God.” Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.  And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God”. Romans 8:26, 27
