God Has A Plan –
God has a Plan –
God has a plan. It may look like Israel is surrounded, but God has a plan. Moreover, when we pray according to His will, we make our prayers specific to hit the marks. In the past month we saw events that can be attributed to the hand of God while the enemies “lay crafty plans against (His) people…” (Psalm 83:3a ESV)
“In our hearts we felt we were under sentence of death. However, this was to get us to rely not on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead! He rescued us from such deadly peril, and he will rescue us again! The one in whom we have placed our hope will indeed continue to rescue us. And you must add your help by praying for us; for the more people there are praying, the more people there will be to give thanks when their prayer for us is answered.” 2 Corinthians 1:9-11 CJB
PRAY FOR:
- Supernatural wisdom, courage, and strength for leaders, military, and families
- Release of all hostages and/or bodies to Israel/families
- Unity among believers to pray for Israel and see God’s promises unfold
Prayer during Season of High Holy Days
As a reminder, the Fall Feasts begin on the eve prior to the dates listed:
Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets/Head of the [New] Year 5785) Oct 3, 4
Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Oct 12
Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) Oct 17-24
Simchat Torah (Rejoicing over the Torah to mark the completion of the annual reading of the first five books of the Bible) Oct 25
Leading-up to Rosh Hashanah and continuing through Yom Kippur this season of high holy days is a time of special daily prayers as the Jewish people pursue repentance and forgiveness. God is always ready to receive all who “turn from their evil ways,” (2 Chronicles 7:14) even the enemies of Israel.
“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart …” Joel 2:12 NIV
PRAY FOR:
- Jesus to be revealed to the Jewish people as they repent and seek forgiveness
- Multiplication of home groups in Israel and the Middle East for discipleship, prayer, and encouragement for one another
- The Lord to preserve innocent lives as the conflict escalates
Pray for Jacob’s Hope
Partnerships in Israel, Ukraine and Ethiopia for high holy days outreaches are very important. Many people are searching for answers. Their hearts are open to hearing the Good News and
receiving the hope that is only found in Jesus There are numerous opportunities to disciple Messianic soldiers and civilians as well as requests to speak to congregations. Wanting to be good
stewards of our resources (financial and manpower) requires wisdom beyond our ability. We desire to be intentional and go where the Lord directs to fulfill His plan and purpose for this time.
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
PRAY FOR:
- Salvations and subsequent discipleship resulting from our outreaches
- Discernment for future Spirit-empowered ministry
- Financial resources in preparation for these Spirit-directed ministries
- Travel protection over our missionaries
- More workers with Jewish understanding to join our ministry team
