March 2024- Israel Population Experiencing PTSD

Israel Population Experiencing PTSD –

Prayer for Israel –

The entire population seems to be experiencing PTSD, and people sense a change coming in intensity. Whereas Jerusalem has had a few problems to this point, Ramadan begins this month. Several hundred-thousand foreigners normally come to Jerusalem during the holiday. There will be an increase in security and access restrictions to various areas within the city. Any extra security checks or limits on travel will increase anxiety. Although Ramadan is generally an obligation to refrain between dawn and dusk from food, drink, immoral behavior, impure or unkind thoughts, lying, or bad actions, not everyone is strict to observe the obligations. The northern region is having an escalation in military activity. Acts of violence are increasing in Judea and Samaria (aka the West Bank). The attacks are coming from three borders and in the middle are the civilians with crowded housing, no jobs, nightmares, sirens and jets overhead. The displaced people must leave hotels by the end of this month but have no place to go. The government leadership is seen as ineffective amid increasing demands to end the war. The hostages are still captives. Israel needs God to intervene. He has done it before; He will do it again. The book of Esther is the retelling of Haman’s plan to annihilate the Jewish people until Esther approached the king with a request to spare the people. This story is read during Purim which is a one-day holiday later this month.

‘Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.” Hebrews 4:16

“Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.” Psalm 25:22

PRAY FOR:

  • Supernatural intervention by God
  • Jerusalem’s peace during Ramadan (March 10-April 9)
  • God to again save the people from annihilation – Purim (March 23 -24; sundown to sundown)
  • Comfort for those experiencing PTSD, loss of family, friends, home and community
  • The release of all remaining hostages
  • Wisdom for the IDF to know how and when to execute missions
  • Unity among the congregations to work together with humility and effectiveness
  • Housing and financial provisions for those displaced by the war
  • Mercy and grace for help for this time of Israel’s great need
  • Experiencing no situations in Israel during Ramadan

Prayer for Ukraine and Ethiopia

This month we partner with Yeshua (Jesus)-believing congregations to reach their neighbors with invitations to Purim celebrations. We continue to assist with the congregations so they may continue meeting with generators when electricity goes down. This is encouraging to the pastors and congregations.

“Keep listening to my words, and let this be your comfort.”  Job 21:2

The following is a short encouragement to our Watchmen on the Wall (WOW) prayer team from Brent Johnson, Jacob’s Hope director.

Greetings fellow Watchmen: Prayer that leads to intercession can only be initiated by and birthed in us by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), see Romans 8:26.

There is a spirit of prayer and fasting taking place as called for by our AGWM executive director Dr. John Easter. He has called all AGWM missionaries to pray and intercede on Wednesdays from noon to 1pm. The Jacob’s Hope team has been gathering together at the World Prayer Center to join forces with others here in Springfield, Missouri to pray and seek Adonai together for breakthroughs around the globe especially the hard places. We are beginning to see our God move!

Please join us wherever you are whatever your time zone and agree with us as the Spirit prompts you. Please… Pray, Pray, Pray, and intercede in faith and in the Spirit believing for the answers to the requests mentioned in this edition of the Watchmen on the Wall knowing that Yeshua, Messiah Jesus, is earnestly and faithfully joining you! We are grateful for your prayers!  Thank You!

All Blessings & Shalom,

Brent Johnson, Director
