Distressing – Distressing Times – A three-week period of mourning on the Jewish calendar, known as “Between the Straits,” occurs this year between July 2 and 23. These particular weeks reflect a season of judgment, when the enemy gets the upper hand, or heightened spiritual warfare – Distressing Times. Destiny – Israel’s Destiny – Reports out of Israel tell of an increasing interest in reading the Torah (Old Covenant/Old Testament). Whereas this indicates the Lord leading Jewish hearts toward the Word (instead of relying on a rabbi’s interpretation), Israel is not immune to the sins that are common to man.
