Exodus 32 begins with the children of Jacob growing weary while waiting for Moses to return to the camp. The people were grumbling, “We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses….” After 40 days, Moses came down from the mountain with the two tablets, and “Moses saw that Aaron had let the people get completely out of control” (v.25). The chapter ends as the Lord sends “a great plague upon the people because they had worshiped the calf Aaron had made.” Centuries later, Acts 1 records Jesus telling the disciples to delay their departure from Jerusalem until they receive the Father’s promise. While waiting for the promise, the disciples were about their Father’s business. Acts 2 begins with the believers all gathering together in one place as the festival of Shavuot arrives. “And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them” (v.4). Acts 2:41, “Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.” People’s behavior will produce different outcomes while waiting.

There seems to be hesitation to ending Israel-Iran-US conflict. There are grumblers who question what happened. And there are people who are about their Father’s business. They are interceding before the Lord while waiting through this delay to bring the war to a close. We have choices to make in this time of waiting.
“Cry aloud before the Lord, O walls of beautiful Jerusalem! Let your tears flow like a river day and night. Give yourselves no rest; give your eyes no relief.”
Lamentations 2:18 NLT
PRAY FOR:
- The Lord to continue to harden the hearts of Iran’s demonically-driven leadership to bring a complete victory and blessing to Israel, the Iranian people, the surrounding nations, and the US.
- Intercessors to remain vigilant, on prayerful alert, to pray with Holy Spirit power for such a time as this.
- Those unbelieving Jewish and Gentile people attending Shavuot services to connect with their Jewish Messiah Jesus.
Combating the 8th Battlefront
There is an 8th battlefront according to PM Netanyahu. This battlefront is the anti-Semitism flowing from the media. Reporters and media personalities slander the only nation carved out for and promised by God to the Hebrew children. They exchange truth for lies and speak without biblical knowledge as to why Israel still matters to every nation on the globe. They have no fear of God.
“The day is near when I, the Lord, will judge all godless nations! As you have done to Israel, so it will be done to you. All your evil deeds will fall back on your own heads.” Obadiah verse 15 NLT
PRAY FOR:
- The repentance and salvation of anti-Semitic broadcasters
- The Lord to bring an end to media groups that spew anti-Semitism
- Believers to combat anti-Semitism with biblical truth
- Mercy for our nation
Our Hearts’ Desires at Jacob’s Hope
An Israeli court heard the case regarding taxation of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in late April. The outcome is disappointing and not our hearts’ desire. We are still waiting for the final decision sometime in June or July. We appreciate all who are praying with us for a favorable outcome regarding the huge increase in property tax for the Hope Center.
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

PRAY FOR:
- The Israel NGO tax status to be finalized with a favorable outcome, and if not favorable, the financial resources to meet the increase
- God’s shalom to saturate all global workers in Israel
- Jewish outreach opportunities among neighbors in Ukraine and Ethiopia
- Holy Spirit’s leading for divine connections and future opportunities
- Our prayer partners to experience delight in the Lord
