Destiny – June 2026 Prayer Points
Destiny –
Israel’s Destiny –
Reports out of Israel tell of an increasing interest in reading the Torah (Old Covenant/Old Testament). Whereas this indicates the Lord leading Jewish hearts toward the Word (instead of relying on a rabbi’s interpretation), Israel is not immune to the sins that are common to man. There is flagrant disregard for the Word when local governments approve public displays of alternative lifestyles. Leaders have given approval for the Pride Land Festival in Tel Aviv (June 1-4) and a mid-June parade in Jerusalem that will pass by the Knesset, the seat of government.
“I’m setting you up as a light for the nations so that my salvation becomes global!” Isaiah 49:6 NIV
PRAY FOR:
- Those following a path of destruction to hear the Lord calling them from darkness into His light.
- Israel to fulfill her destiny to be a light for the nations.
- The salvation of the Jewish people who will discover Messiah while reading the Old Covenant.
- Those individuals moving into position for the next election to be men who fear the Lord and will lead the nation into all godliness and holiness.
Europe’s Demise
The rapid rise of anti-Semitism in Western Europe and the UK is beyond what anyone could imagine. When Israel is continually the target of attacks, no one would think that Israel is a safer environment for the Jewish person than Europe, but it is!
“I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt.” Genesis 12:2,3 NLT
PRAY FOR:
- The safety of the Jewish people and for their gentile neighbors who are caught in the crosshairs of violence.
- The Jewish person who is grieving their life in Europe and fearful about immigrating to Israel.
- The church to take a stand against anti-Semitism.
Military Service
The continuing war is stressing the military and reserve units with a need for 20,000 recruits. There are 80,000 eligible ultra-Orthodox men ages 18 to 24. The ultra-Orthodox leaders continue to contest participation in the military, but there is a surprising development: 433 young ultra-Orthodox men voluntarily enlisted last month (a 24% increase from one year ago). The military is launching new pathways for ultra-Orthodox soldiers to serve in combat units as well as support roles in security, communications, logistics, and the prison systems. These positions provide for the ultra-Orthodox soldier’s military assignment and time to study Torah. Perhaps as these military roles are recognized as necessary and satisfying, more ultra-Orthodox young men will voluntarily enlist alleviating the strain on the general population, and ultimately unite the divided government.
“How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.” Psalm 133:1,3 NLT
PRAY FOR:
- The military to continue to find the right recruitment solutions for the manpower shortage.
- The ultra-Orthodox leaders and the government to live in unity.
- More ultra-Orthodox young men to voluntarily enlist for military service.
- The strain on the military and reservists will be alleviated.
Jacob’s Hope
Organizations sending financial support to Israeli ministries are exasperated by the free-fall value exchange of the dollar to the shekel. Whereas the shekel value has increased 25 percent in the last year, in Israel the dollar value has decreased that same amount. The exchange rate of the dollar to the shekel no longer covers the same expenses, affecting our Israel projects, our missionaries’ budgets and their morale.
“I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalm 121:1-2, 7-8 NLT
PRAY FOR:
- Our missionaries and their families to be filled daily with the peace of Messiah that surpasses understanding, strengthened by his presence, and sustained by the hope that only he can give.
- Our missionaries’ provision, protection, and morale.
- The value of the dollar to stabilize against the shekel.
- A favorable final tax-status decision for our Hope Center.
It is our privilege to pray for your needs.
