Aging Jewish Woman Finds Answers –

Prayer for Answers:

The aging Jewish woman spoke about questions she held in her heart for many years. As a child she was inquisitive about the traditions, the holidays, the tefillin worn by her Orthodox grandfather, and why she was never to mention the name “Jesus.” Confusion multiplied as an adult when she read in Matthew 27:37, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” “How can this be,” she questioned. In her testimony, this woman shares how the Holy Spirit was softening her heart to the Gospel. At the moment she heard, “Yes, it is possible for a Jewish person to accept Messiah and remain Jewish,” the aging Jewish woman accepted Messiah and was baptized that same day. Part of her testimony is acknowledging the believer who prayed for her salvation for forty years.

  • The Jewish people to make their ear attentive to wisdom and incline their heart to understanding (Proverbs 2:2)
  • The Jewish person to call out for insight and understanding (Proverbs 2:3)
  • The Lord to answer their questions, and in His perfect timing, their acceptance of Messiah
  • Intercessors to the Jewish people

Pray for Ethiopia

Church plants are multiplying through the leadership of the Ethiopian National Assemblies of God. The national superintendent believes the doubling of churches in the last three years is due to the leaderships’ eyes opening to God’s heart for the Jewish people and acting on that knowledge. He says in order to reach all of Ethiopia for Jesus they must include the Jewish people. Jacob’s Hope is instrumental in bringing the Good News for all people to the leadership, pastors, students and Jewish communities of Ethiopia. The Jewish people have no special path to heaven. They must be saved by grace through faith, in the risen Messiah “for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12b)
