July 2023 Prayer Points-Love The Land Of Israel

Pray for Those Who Love the Land of Israel

Christian Zionists lean toward a romanticized “Love for Israel” but without loving the actual people there. It is a wonderful land, because, after all, this is where Jesus walked. This is what draws the hearts of people to the land. Nonetheless, this is what can hinder people from loving the Jewish people: hostilities. Hostilities rooted in ignorance, pride or anti-Semitism.   Daily news reveals the internal terrorism that plagues the area known as Judea and Samaria and the persistent demand for dividing the nation. External enemies frequently attack and threaten total annihilation. Recently, videos displaying violence by a few Orthodox Jews against believers in Messiah leaves bitterness within the Christian community. We worship the same God. Can’t everyone just get along? The common thread through all of this is everyone desperately needs Jesus.

17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. Romans 11:17-23 ESV

PRAY FOR:

  • The Spirit to lead believers in Jesus to understanding of His Word
  • The Jewish people and all of their international neighbors
  • Jesus to come through dreams and visions leading people to seek Truth and salvation
  • The peace of Jerusalem

Pray for Jacob’s Hope

Returning from Ethiopia, our missionaries report the Holy Spirit was present during the classes with increasing participation, understanding and unity between Jew and Gentile. We plant seeds and water them, but those seeds will not bear fruit unless God gives the increase.  1 Corinthians 3:5-6

This ministry has created a new exhibit for General Council 23. It will be a busy week for our missionaries. Then, Friday, August 4, beginning at 5:30PM we will attend Shabbat dinner with guest speaker Rick Dubose. Jacob’s Hope is co-sponsoring this with the National Jewish Fellowship of the AG. We will enjoy the presence of God, connect with family and friends, and participate in the beauty and joy of Shabbat dinner. It will be the perfect way to culminate the week of council busyness.

All our missionaries are traveling to various locations from mid-July to mid-September.  Requesting prayer for travel may seem redundant, but it isn’t. When a missionary reports little jet lag, recovery from a physical supernatural attack, and the hectic pace of serving people in various settings, we know prayers are being answered. The presence of the Spirit is evident when serving with joy, strength and good health.

PRAY FOR:

  • God to give the increase in the Ethiopian students/pastors
  • The Shabbat Dinner
  • Spirit-empowered ministry
  • Travel protection and physical wellbeing for all our missionaries
  • God to call Believers with Jewish understanding to Jewish ministry
  • Our missionaries to freely share the Gospel as lead by the Spirit

You are important to the work God is doing in these final days.

We thank God for intercessors.

Your prayers make a difference in the lives of Jewish people in many nations

through teaching and compassion ministry. Thank you!
