January 2024 – May My Words Be Acceptable In Your Sight

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.  Psalm 19:14

Continuing Prayer for the Middle East

More than three thousand years of historical records tell of events resulting from “the Jewish Problem”. Some will claim this is the root of the Middle East conflict or the rise in global anti-Semitism, but more likely, it is a problem originating from the heart of man. (Matthew 15:18)

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”  Psalm 19:14

PRAY FOR:

  • Believers to examine their own hearts and thoughts
  • Acts of anti-Semitism to decrease around the world
  • All people in the Middle East to have the opportunity to hear the Good News and choose to accept or reject Messiah
  • The peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by God’s discipline (Hebrews 12:11)
  • The peace of Jerusalem

Pray for Jacob’s Hope

Our prayer partners are very important to the work done in the harvest fields. We know intercession is tiring and never ending during this challenging season. We feel your prayers. Thank you. Each nation where we have on-going projects, Israel, Ukraine and Ethiopia, is involved in war. Our hearts are broken for these nations, for the Jewish people, and for their non-Jewish neighbors.

“’Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?’ He said, ‘The one who showed him mercy.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘You go, and do likewise.’”  Luke 10:37

PRAY FOR:

  • Our teammates serving in the war-torn areas
  • the Holy Spirit to comfort those who mourn (Matthew 5:4)
  • the ability to show mercy  (Luke 10:37)
  • eyes to see His goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13)
  • protection from violence
  • strength and overall good health
  • Traveling mercies for our missionaries
  • Until Jan 14, theological classes occurring at Addis Bible College
  • the students to continually improve their English language skills/understanding
  • the translator to be in good health and have endurance (translating is tiring)
  • the Lord to renew the strength of our missionary who is teaching the classes, speaking in weekend services, and meeting with our local partners for compassion ministry
  • Discipleship of believers to continue during times of war
  • Spirit-empowered ministry
