Pray for Believers in Messiah – Dec. 2024 Prayer Points

Pray for Believers in Messiah –

Pray for Believers in Messiah

Some Jewish believers joyfully celebrate Christmas.  Others believe acknowledging Christmas separates them from their Jewish family and friends, announcing their conversion to a different religion, and wiping away their Jewish identity. These Messianic believers never stop being Jewish by trusting in the Jewish Messiah. There are some Christians who light candles on a Hanukkah menorah. This may separate them from fellow Christians who believe they are embracing a different religion and wiping away their Christian identity. These Christians never stop believing in Jesus by celebrating Hanukkah. This year Hanukkah, the Festival of Light, begins at dusk on December 25 and runs for 8 days. The apostle John refers to it as the Feast of Dedication, remembering when the Maccabees re-dedicated the Temple in 164 BCE to the one true God. “Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.” (John 10:22-23) Christmas and Hanukkah both celebrate a miracle. The Gentile believer, grafted in through Messiah, becomes family with the Jewish believer. Let’s not allow outward observances to separate Believers but joyfully celebrate what unifies us –Yeshua, Jesus, Savior, Light of the World, Messiah.

“The people living in darkness have seen a great light; upon those living in the land that lies in the shadow of death, light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:1 CJB

Pray for Jacob’s Hope

Thank you for faithfully standing with us. We mentor leaders and disciple believers in Asia, Africa, South America and Europe. We extend compassion to the Jewish people in many, practical ways. We speak for the Jewish people and Israel in churches. Believing in the power of unified prayer, we unite others to intercessory prayer for Israel. Globally, online searches for information show growing interest to understand the Jewish Messiah. Bible sales have increased 22% over the same time last year. This is an exciting time to be involved in ministry.
