Shavuot – June 2025
Elevated Spiritual Time –
Shavuot (6/1-3, outside of Israel) is a God-ordained pilgrimage festival commemorating the giving of the Torah (Law) at Mount Sinai. This is a foundational event in Jewish history that marks the beginning of the Jewish people as a nation bound by divine law, purpose and affirmation of the covenant with God. Early believers were in Jerusalem for Shavuot when the Holy Spirit fell upon them as recorded in Acts 2:1-4. This is an elevated spiritual time. While the Jewish people are observing Shavuot, believers will celebrate Pentecost, and the non-believing nations of Saudi Arabia and France, will co-chair a UN conference (6/2-4). The purpose is to lay ground work for the creation of an independent Palestinian state (two-state solution). Then a proposal will be made to the General Assembly, followed by a vote to adopt the resolution. The two-state solution has been proposed many times and each time it has been rejected by the controlling terrorist organizations of Gaza.
“The Lord nullifies the plan of nations; He frustrates the plans of peoples. The plan of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen for His own inheritance.” Psalm 33:10-12
PRAY FOR:
- The two-state solution to not be adopted by the UN
- God’s chosen people will humble themselves, pray and seek God’s face (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Prayer for Messianic Believers in Ethiopia
Violent attacks in South Sudan are sending a flood of refugees into Gambela, Ethiopia, where seven of our recent Bible school graduates lead five Messianic congregations. These congregations are reaching out to help the refugees. They are sharing material items as well as the gospel.
“The ropes of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord, Yes, I called out to my God; And from His temple He heard my voice, And my cry for help came into His ears.” 2 Samuel 22:6-7 NASB
PRAY FOR:
- Protection around believers and their communities
- Secure delivery of supplies to congregations for distribution to refugee mothers
and children
- The refugees to hear the gospel presented in a way they will understand
Pray for Jacob’s Hope
On the third Monday of the month, at the AG World Prayer Center, this ministry co-leads one hour of prayer devoted to Israel, the people and her neighbors. The noon-time prayer is open to anyone sensitive toward Israel.
“You will arise and have compassion on Zion; for it is time to be gracious to her, for the appointed time has come.” Psalm 102:13 NASB
