May 2024 Prayer Points – Conflict upon Conflict

Conflict –

Conflict upon Conflict –

Conflict; it is in war with the threat of annihilation and face-to-face encounters with evil that people’s hearts fail. Such is the situation in Israel. We are aware of the suffering. Fifty-one suicides are on record of people who had direct experience with the attack in October. Either they are civilians or soldiers who were attacked and survived or they lost someone that day. With the wars and riots people are desperate for something to give meaning and stability to their lives. The rise in anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism affects not just the Jewish people, but it can be in conflict with those who are grafted into the olive tree love the Jewish people and the Land. As people and nations line up against Israel, may believers remember it is God who made his covenant forever to a thousand generations. It is God who keeps Israel as the apple of His eye; hiding them in the shadow of His wings. Psalm 7:8 ESV

He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.” Psalm 105:8-11 ESV
