A Witness – A Witness – Israel has a national calling to be a witness. God chose one nation to reveal the Scriptures and the Messiah, giving revelation of whom the Scriptures speak. God has always wanted Israel to be a witness to how real God is, how close He dwells, and how He answers prayer. All this so the surrounding nations will turn from their false gods
Destiny – Israel’s Destiny – Reports out of Israel tell of an increasing interest in reading the Torah (Old Covenant/Old Testament). Whereas this indicates the Lord leading Jewish hearts toward the Word (instead of relying on a rabbi’s interpretation), Israel is not immune to the sins that are common to man. There is flagrant disregard for the Word when local governments approve public displays of alternative lifestyles. Leaders
Waiting – Waiting – Exodus 32 begins with the children of Jacob growing weary while waiting for Moses to return to the camp. The people were grumbling, “We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses….” After 40 days, Moses came down from the mountain with the two tablets, and “Moses saw that Aaron had let the people get completely out of control” (v.25). The chapter ends as
