June 2020 Prayer Points for WOW – Rabbi’s Leadership

Pray for the Religious Jewish People and Rabbis

The orthodox Jewish person is dependent on the Rabbi’s leadership who is the mediator between man and the Creator. The Rabbis teach prayer and study of the Torah is to occur in a minyan, a group of at least ten men. When synagogues and Jewish schools were closed in response to COVID-19 regulations, the Rabbi’s reluctantly gave approval for individuals to pray and study at home. This is a big concession on their part. It is an opening for the Jewish person to question the Rabbi’s authority.

“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.  You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:12, 13 ESV

PRAY FOR Jewish People and Rabbis:

  • A hunger in the heart of the religious Jew to search Scripture for himself
  • The Jewish person to find the mediator between him and the Creator is Messiah Yeshua
  • The Jewish person to see the God of Israel is approachable and desires a personal relationship with each individual

Exploding Global Racism

An exploding global issue is racism. It is not just a North American problem. The shaking is inside every believer who confronts his own heart. Do we need the reminder we are all created in the image of God who looks at the heart and not the outward appearance? We worship the same God. We are brothers and sisters in Yeshua. However, there are divisions among Christian denominations, separation of races inside a church, and distance between Messianic and Christian believers.

Prayer for Unity

“Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God. I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another. For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?” 1 Corinthians 4:5-7 ESV

PRAY FOR:

  • Repentance
  • All believers will search God’s Word for understanding
  • Unity in the Body of Yeshua
