Prayers for the Jewish People

Evil continues its reign of deception, confusion, and destruction. Israel remains the target of annihilation by its neighbors. The joint Netanyahu/Gantz government is not functioning, and there is a proposal to hold another national election in November. The corruption trial for Netanyahu is delayed, and he is losing his popularity. The Knesset is legislating in an evil direct opposition to God’s moral law. The Jewish community is the recipient of anti-Semitic accusations involving Covid19. Employment is down; schools are only partially opening; depression is increasing. An inclination for people to be sorrowful and without hope does not need to be where the road ends.

Habakkuk’s Complaint “O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you ‘Violence!’ and you will not save? Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise.  So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.”

PRAY FOR:

• The Lord continues His supernatural protection over Israel because Jerusalem and the Jewish people are called by His Name
• Israel will pursue righteousness and worship Him alone
• The Israeli leaders will execute justice and righteousness because the Lord places them in leadership; He loves Israel forever
• The Jewish people will recognize the impossibility to keep all the commandments in the book of Exodus and will seek Jesus the Messiah to deliver from sin
• The Jewish people desiring to relocate to Israel will have an open door to establish residency in the Land
• The children of the Lord will not feel abandoned nor beg for bread
• The people will not die from COVID-19, but live, and proclaim the work of the Lord
• School students will fear God, get wisdom and understanding, and have a hope for the future
• The Lord will hear the cries of His people, see their troubles and extend compassion

PRAISE:

• Annexation of the West Bank did not occur and Israel waits for God’s perfect timing
• A COVID-19 vaccine developed by Israeli researchers and Johnson & Johnson is in early-stage human clinical trial
• The Lord is doing a work in the nations even though we cannot see it right at this moment

Prayer for Jacob’s Hope

• Spirit empowerment for Jewish evangelism
• The summer youth meetings will strengthen friendships, deepen knowledge and understanding of the Lord, and give hope of a future to the young Messianic believers
• Mature believers will disciple new Messianic believers while congregations are shutdown
